Christine Hoffman Receives Scholarship From The University Of Minnesota, Morris

Christine Hoffman, Alexandria, is one of many students to receive scholarships from the University of Minnesota, Morris for the 2011–12 academic year. Hoffman is the recipient of the Gertrude Gaffney Hanlon Memorial Scholarship.

Established in 1993, this scholarship provides financial assistance to students at UMM, preferably women of Irish heritage. Funds are provided from the estate of Dorothy Hanlon, the daughter of Gertrude Gaffney Hanlon. Dorothy Hanlon was a teacher and administrator with the Bureau of Indian Affairs for many years.

Hoffman, will graduate from Morris in 2013 with a major in mathematics, Spanish and a chemistry minor..

More than 220 donors, scholarship recipients and family members attended the annual Scholarship Jubilee on October 8, a celebration to honor Morris's generous scholarship donors and talented scholarship recipients.
