Angela Fast Receives Scholarship From The University Of Minnesota, Morris

2011 Nov 30

Angela Fast, Butterfield, is one of many students to receive scholarships from the University of Minnesota, Morris for the 2011–12 academic year. Fast is the recipient of the Carrie Wickstrom Scholarship.

A scholarship Carrie Wickstrom received while attending the University of Minnesota West Central School of Agriculture made it possible for her to complete her high school education in 1929 and to go on to college. Carrie taught for 30 years in Ulen and Montevideo. Based on academic merit, recipients are students pursuing education licensure with preference given to those intending to teach at the elementary level.

Fast, will graduate from Morris in 2012 with a major in elementary education.

More than 220 donors, scholarship recipients and family members attended the annual Scholarship Jubilee on October 8, a celebration to honor Morris's generous scholarship donors and talented scholarship recipients.
