Amanda House of Gilman receives honors and awards at the University of Minnesota, Morris

Amanda House, of Gilman, is a recipient of the David C. Johnson Award for International Service Learning from the University of Minnesota, Morris.

The David C. Johnson Award for International Service Learning is meant to assist deserving students to participate in service learning projects in other nations, e.g., the teaching of English as a second language in developing nations, Habitat for Humanity programs. Preference is for students who will return to UMM subsequent to their work abroad. David served as chancellor of UMM from the fall of 1990 to the summer of 1998.

Students were recognized in a special Honors and Awards Ceremony on Friday, May 10, 2013, at the Morris campus.
